Responses to the East Thurrock Masterplan “Preferred Option” public consultation are available.

As reported on the TTGDC website “Comments on the East Thurrock Masterplan “Preferred Option” had to be received by 3rd November 2008. Approximately, 1,100 responses were received and are being collated. Once this process has been completed, a summary of the responses will be presented to Thurrock Development Corporation’s Planning Committee. These will be made available online. A Final Draft of the East Thurrock Masterplan will be considered by the Development Corporation’s Board for sign-off, nearly next year.”

The feedback from the first stage of TTGDC Masterplan is now available.
Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation Planning Committee met on Monday 17 March 2008 to review feedback from the first consultation process of the East Thurrock Masterplan.
As reported in the Thurrock Gazette Friday 21 March 2008 “Director of Planning and Strategy, Peter Bassett, said: “We received 4,800 responses from our leafleting campaign. We have also received a petition from Save Corringham Green Belt of 2,841 signatures. The committee will spend time assessing the responses before issuing the Preferred Option”.

“Leading Thurrock politicians have declared war with the borough’s government-instigated Development Corporation over building on green belt land……
Now senior Tories have demonstrated their dissatisfaction and anger by symbolically ripping up its masterplan fo East Thurrock“.
